Orange, present in 18 countries in Africa and the Middle East, recently partnered with Spotify, the world's leading music streaming platform, to offer all its mobile customers a captivating music experience. By offering additional data volumes to access the Spotify service for free, Orange is strengthening its position as an all-in-one entertainment service provider.

With a global community of more than 551 million active listeners each month, including 220 million subscribers, Spotify offers a wide range of African and international artists to listen to with a library of more than 82 million tracks. Orange customers can now benefit from this personalized and enriching musical experience by, for example, creating their own playlists.

We recognize that the cost of data continues to be a barrier for people wanting to stream music, which is why we are actively working with Spotify SSA on partnerships like this. »

Brelotte Ba, Deputy Managing Director of Orange Middle East and Africa: “We are proud to establish this partnership with Spotify to offer a new experience to our customers in Africa and the Middle East. As the continent's full-service operator, we want to facilitate our customers' access to Africa's rich musical culture in order to promote local talent. The deployment of this service in the countries where we are present will give all communities access to an incomparable musical experience and will thus contribute to the acceleration of digital inclusion on the continent. »

Music is the primary source of entertainment on the African continent. With the large community of Orange mobile users from all these countries, Spotify will be able to promote local talents by introducing them to a wider audience.

This strategic partnership will constitute a major step forward for Orange towards improving the musical experience in the African digital landscape, in particular by promoting a deeper connection with cultural and entertainment elements. Orange is currently studying the possibilities of extending this offer to other countries.
