Companies and brands are deepening collaborations and expansions across the continent as they seek to grow their foothold and expand their solutions portfolio. Ultimately Africa’s advertising, marketing, media and social media industries are cashing in on these expansions that have also created jobs.
Tagger Media, the global technology player making influencer marketing more intelligent, has announced its expansion into South Africa through an exclusive partnership with Tribeez, an influencer marketing and social intelligence agency based in Cape Town.
Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA), the printing and imaging solutions provider, has partnered with renowned Kenyan film and television production company Zebra Productions Kenya.
The collaboration aims to provide valuable training and skills enhancement, through the Canon Miraisha Programme, to aspiring photographers, videographers, filmmakers, and print business owners.
At the same time, Samsung Electronics, the world’s TV manufacturer for 17 consecutive years, has announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures that will bring highly-anticipated movie trailers to Neo QLED 8K screens in more than 65,000 retail stores around the world.
And Dentsu Group Inc. has announced it has partnered with Microsoft to launch enterprise-wide access to advanced Azure OpenAI technologies, empowering employees to develop client-ready solutions to drive growth and efficiency from the safety of a private, enterprise-grade, secure development environment.
In other news making headlines this week, Public relations company Ogilvy Africa has appointed Cathy Gathu as the new Managing Partner effective August 1.
Gathu, will report to Vikas Mehta, the firm’s Sub-Saharan Africa Chief Executive Officer. She has more than 20 years’ experience in brand strategy and marketing communication.
